Terms of Service - Stay Mitra

Welcome to Stay Mitra. By accessing our website and using our services to book accommodations or list properties, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Nature of Our Service

Stay Mitra acts as an intermediary platform connecting guests with property owners (Home Stays, PGs, Hotels, Guest Houses).

While we verify listings to the best of our ability, Stay Mitra does not own or manage the properties directly unless explicitly stated. The actual contract for the stay is directly between the Guest and the Property Owner.

2. Booking & Payments

Booking Request: Submitting a booking form on our website is a request, not a confirmation. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a verification message/email from our team.
Payments: Payment terms (advance, full payment, etc.) are determined by the specific property rules or our standard operating procedures. Ensure you receive an official receipt for any transaction.
ID Proof: All guests must provide valid government-issued ID proof (Aadhar, Driving License, etc.) at the time of check-in as per Indian Government regulations.

3. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation policies vary by property. Standard policies will be communicated to you at the time of booking. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7-10 working days.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Stay Mitra, you agree to:

Provide accurate contact information (Mobile/Email).
Respect the property rules (No smoking, pet policies, etc.) set by the owner.
Be responsible for any damage caused to the property during your stay.
Use the premises for legal purposes only.

5. Limitation of Liability

Stay Mitra is not liable for:

Any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the property.
Loss of personal belongings during the stay.
Disputes arising directly between the Guest and the Property Owner regarding services not under our direct control (e.g., power cuts, municipal water issues).

6. For Property Owners

Owners listing with us certify that they have the legal right to rent out the property and that the property complies with all local safety and municipal regulations. Stay Mitra reserves the right to delist any property that receives consistent negative feedback or fails verification checks.

7. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
